User Permissions for System Activities
The following enhancement in user permissions for system activities is now available:
Support for Managing Custom Libraries and Custom Detection Rules with Library Manager Role
Starting in this release, Code Insight introduces a new section named Library Manager in the Manage Permissions dialog, which is displayed by clicking the Manage Permissions button in the Users/Permissions tab on the Administration page. This enhancement allows system administrators to assign or modify user access for a Library Manager role to manage the custom components, custom licenses, and custom detection rules.
By adding required users—using the Add User field in the Manage Permissions dialog—to the Library Manager section, you can grant them permissions to create and edit custom components and custom licenses, as well as to create, edit, and delete custom detection rules as required. Only users with the Library Manager role have the authority to manage the custom components, custom licenses, and custom detection rules.
